Harry Day began
learning his craft in the early 1950's when he worked with the Rich's
department store in the piano department. By the 1960's he became
active in the Piano Technicians Guild (PTG) by first achieving the
Registered Piano Craftsman status and later by instructing and hosting
PTG conventions held in the Atlanta area. In the early 1970's Harry
Day Pianos was formed and he began specializing in all aspects of
piano work, from simple repairs to major restorations for college
music departments across Georgia. Throughout the 1980's and 1990's
Harry Day Pianos continued to grow adding sales, moving and family
heirloom restoration to the repertoire. He also designed and patented
several items for easier piano moving which have now become industry
standards. Through the years Harry Day Pianos has developed
a reputation of being the best piano sales and restoration business
in the southeast.
